Rebecca Reyes, MD JD

A graduate of both medical and law schools, Rebecca completed her Psychiatry Residency training at UCLA in Los Angeles in 2002 and began working immediately as the Director of the Adult Inpatient ICU A/High Intensity Unit at Vista Del Mar Hospital in Ventura, California. While at Vista, Rebecca spearheaded the Military PTSD Inpatient Treatment Program, and served as its Director until she retired from inpatient Psychiatry in 2016. While directing these programs, Rebecca also served as Medical Director of Sober College (addiction treatment program), La Ventana Stepping Stones (addiction treatment program), and The Bella Vita (eating disorders treatment program). Additionally, Rebecca ran a thriving private practice focused primarily on the treatment of anxiety and mood disorders.

Throughout the years, Rebecca continued to practice yoga and meditate regularly. She completed her yoga teacher training through CorePower Yoga and is a member of the Yoga Alliance. Because of her background in Psychiatry, she is especially focused on strengthening the mind body connection through both the practice of yoga and gratitude/meditation. Because of this, Rebecca pays particular attention to the incorporation of gratitude and meditation in her vinyasa yoga classes. Time is also spent in every class calling forth an intention and sending it out into the world. Rebecca hopes that her students leave class feeling refreshed, connected, and balanced.

Rebecca Reyes is an MD licensed in California, JD, and holds an active CPR/AED certification.
