Maurice Rayford, MBA
Chief Executive Officer
Maurice Rayford is the CEO of Pure Recovery and brings 30 years of executive leadership experience in behavioral health. His background includes compliance, risk management, operations, and organizational leadership. Maurice has worked across acute care hospitals, mental health treatment, substance use disorder care, and county and state government agencies. His professional experience includes leadership roles with UHS, Acadia Healthcare, Carelon Behavioral Health, the County of Riverside, and the State of Illinois. He is focused on building strong systems that support quality care, accountability, and sustainable operations.

Dr. Atman Reyes
Psychiatrist, Medical Director
Dr. Reyes leads psychiatric care across the clinic and serves as Medical Director for our TMS and ketamine-assisted therapy programs. Board-certified in psychiatry and credentialed in ketamine-assisted therapy, he oversees medical protocols, screening, and safety for every patient on the medical side of the clinic. His approach pairs careful diagnostic work with measurable treatment plans — medication management, TMS, and ketamine-assisted therapy delivered in coordination with the assessment and recovery teams, on the same chart, with one care team.

Dr. Rebecca Reyes, MD, JD
Psychiatrist · Director, Outpatient Psychiatric Program
Dr. Rebecca Reyes is a psychiatrist and behavioral healthcare leader with advanced degrees in both medicine and law. She has held leadership roles across inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. Her experience includes directing military, PTSD, and substance abuse treatment programs. Dr. Reyes has also served as both principal investigator and sub-investigator in phase 3 neuropsychiatry clinical trials. She is committed to evidence-based care, collaborative leadership, and improving outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Kassidy Grogan, LMFT
Clinical Director
Kassidy Grogan is the Clinical Director at Pure Recovery and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She brings more than 20 years of experience providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Kassidy specializes in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, also known as EMDR. Her clinical expertise includes substance use disorders, trauma-related conditions, and complex behavioral health needs. She is committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care that supports meaningful healing and recovery.

Christa Carmona, LVN
Chief Compliance Officer
Christa Carmona is the Chief Compliance Officer at Pure Recovery and a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She brings more than 18 years of experience in behavioral health, including work in substance use disorders, mental health, and eating disorder treatment. Her background includes over 15 years in regulatory compliance, more than five years in clinical nursing, and experience in utilization review. Christa specializes in accreditation, survey readiness, regulatory standards, and operational integrity. Her work is focused on maintaining safe, compliant, and high-quality treatment environments.

Keri Gomez Ramos

Keri Gomez Ramos is the Director of Utilization Review and brings 30 years of experience as a psychiatric nurse. For the past 22 years, she has served in utilization review leadership within behavioral health facilities. Her work focuses on quality, efficiency, compliance, and the coordination of patient care services. Keri has experience across both inpatient and outpatient settings and has held multiple leadership roles throughout her career. She is committed to improving patient outcomes and supporting high-performing behavioral health teams.

Brittany Cornelius
Human Resources Director
Brittany Cornelius serves as the Human Resources Director at Pure Recovery, bringing more than a decade of experience within the organization. She began her career at Pure as a receptionist and executive assistant before advancing into roles in performance improvement, licensing, and human resources leadership. Brittany holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and maintains her PHRca certification. Her background includes strong expertise in California employment law, compliance, employee development, and workplace operations. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, staying active, and going to the beach.

Ashley Cates, CADC II
Admissions and Program Director
Ashley Cates is the Admissions and Program Director at Pure Recovery Treatment Center. She brings more than 12 years of experience in addiction treatment and behavioral health. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Health Sciences with an emphasis in substance use disorders from Grand Canyon University. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at California Lutheran University. Ashley uses a person-centered, trauma-informed approach to support individualized care, connection, and long-term recovery.

Ashlee Cardona-Hernandez, LMFT
Clinical Supervisor
Ashlee Cardona-Hernandez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at Pure Recovery. She has a strong background in private practice and behavioral health systems, with experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Ashlee's areas of expertise include trauma, severe mental illness, relationship dynamics, and culturally responsive care. She has led multidisciplinary teams, developed treatment programming, and supported clinicians in delivering ethical and effective care. As a bilingual English and Spanish clinician, she is committed to helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Quinn McGuire, AMFT
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Quinn McGuire is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Pure Recovery California. He has experience working with men, women, and children of all ages and brings three years of clinical experience to his role. Quinn uses a person-centered and trauma-informed framework, integrating CBT, ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, meditation, breathwork, and somatic practices. His areas of focus include addiction, relapse prevention, co-occurring diagnoses, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Outside of his clinical work, Quinn is a former college tennis player and enjoys time with his wife and their three dogs.

Lynn Breen, M.A. Ed., CATC II
Substance Use Disorder Counselor
Lynn Breen is a certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor and graduate student pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her clinical focus includes supporting professional athletes through career transitions, identity development, and recovery. Lynn studied at the University of Southern California and earned a Master of Arts in Education from Loyola Marymount University. She brings experience in education, substance use treatment, and support for individuals navigating high-pressure environments. Her approach is compassionate, client-centered, and focused on resilience, purpose, and sustainable recovery.

Jacob Perryman, CATC I
Addiction Treatment Professional
Jacob Perryman is a dedicated professional in the addiction treatment field with more than six years of experience. He earned a certificate in Addictive Disorder Studies from Oxnard College in 2025 and is completing his Associate of Science degree in 2026. Jacob is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, CATC I, through ACCBC. He is also experienced in facilitating the Seeking Safety curriculum, supporting clients with trauma and substance use in a structured way. Jacob uses a person-centered, trauma-informed approach focused on respect, connection, and long-term recovery.
Manuel Wallace, SUDCC
Substance Use Disorder Counselor
Manuel Wallace is a Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor with more than a decade of experience in addiction recovery and mental health treatment. He specializes in evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, and REBT. Manuel earned four certificates from Oxnard Community College in Addictive Disorder Studies Counseling, advanced addiction counseling, addiction counseling in criminal justice, and community behavioral health. He is currently pursuing two Associate of Science degrees, with plans to continue toward a Bachelor's degree in Addictive Disorder Studies. Manuel joined Pure Recovery in March 2025 and is honored to support clients in a safe, recovery-focused environment.
Douglas Berry
Addiction Counselor
Douglas Berry is an addiction counselor dedicated to helping individuals move forward in their recovery journey. He earned his certificate in Addiction Disorder Studies from Oxnard College in 2025. Douglas is continuing his education toward an associate degree while building his professional experience in the field. Before entering addiction treatment, he spent many years in the trucking industry, where he developed a strong work ethic and appreciation for resilience. He brings empathy, real-world understanding, and a grounded approach to supporting clients.

Cinthia Ramirez
Counselor
Cinthia Ramirez is a counselor at Pure Recovery with a background in business, psychology, and social and behavioral sciences. She brings more than a decade of experience in higher education and student services, including administrative coordination, program support, and cross-departmental collaboration. Cinthia holds a Bachelor's degree in Business with a minor in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands and an Associate degree in General Studies from Oxnard College. She is currently working toward state credentials in Addictive Disorder Studies. At Pure Recovery, she supports clients through group facilitation, care coordination, and compassionate client-centered support.
Lian Honkoski
Mental Health Professional
Lian Honkoski holds a Master's degree in Social Work and is pursuing her associate license. She brings more than ten years of experience in mental health and psychology, working with diverse adult populations across multiple levels of care. Her experience includes support for eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, PTSD, OCD, neurodevelopmental disorders, and substance use concerns. Lian uses a person-centered and collaborative approach, recognizing each client as the expert on their own needs. She also incorporates systems-based and harm-reduction perspectives to help clients build agency and self-efficacy.

Austin Lutz
Neuro Department
Austin Lutz is part of the Neuro Department at Pure Recovery and has been with the organization since 2018. Originally from San Diego, he earned his degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Austin specializes in Neurofeedback, Neuromodulation, and QEEG analysis, with experience in the field since 2014. He has worked with hundreds of clients across a wide age range, from children to adults. His long-term goal is to integrate neurological and physiological approaches with clinical therapy to support comprehensive mental health care.

Joseph Magana is a Nurse Supervisor with more than 13 years of experience in the medical field. His background includes five years of specialized experience in behavioral health and dual-diagnosis care. Joseph provides both clinical and operational leadership, helping maintain high standards of patient care, compliance, and team performance. He is committed to supporting safe, effective, and well-organized treatment environments. Outside of his professional role, Joseph values time with his family and leads a grounded lifestyle on his farm.
